My task was to present a presentation that I made explaining my ideas about the music video I will create.
I have just recently gotten permission from the unsigned artist to use their lyrics for my music video, I have been emailing her everyday for the pass 2 weeks and I wasn't getting reply which was becoming very stressful because I wasn't sure on how else I could get through to the artist for the permission. But thankfully theartist got back to me on the 30/1/13 and she gave me permission to use her lyrics and she would like to see the finished product if possible.
My first idea was to have the basic scene of the bedroom, park and shopping mall where the male and female attraction grow throughout the video and become close at the end.

That is exactly what I want my music video story to be based on because it will match the lyrics but I'm not to sure now if I want the locations that I chose before.
I have listened to the song and looked over the lyrics continuously for the pass few days and I would like to change one of my locations. Instead of having the beginning verse being filmed in the main vocalist bedroom, I am thinking of changing the location to the music studio where the artist will walk in the studio and put on the headphones provided and sing into the microphone while I'm filming, then while she is still in the studio I can then film the parts where she'll be at the other locations that I had chosen.
I think this idea will be much better as it is different and goes well with the song and definitely the genre 'RnB'. I know for a fact that this new idea will work perfectly and will be manageable as all the locations are local.
I am now going to base that scene in my music video from the song 'Should have cheated' by Keyshia Cole, in her music video there are parts of the scenes where she is in the music studio singing into the microphone and then it cuts to the other locations of her and her boyfriend.

Using this type of location is more of a narrative video because it is telling/showing you a story which is the idea that I wanted. For this location 'music studio' I can then have more close ups while of her singing into the microphone showing her facial expressions which will match the lyrics in the song and the audience will be able to understand and feel the artist emotions throughout the music video.
In RnB the music artist will make themself stand out with the genre item. This is to get the audience remember then as an RnB artist. Having my artist being identified with the braids and the urban lady clothing (tight jeans, leather jacket/jean jacket or blazer, boots, hoop earrings and chains) this is all the type of RnB stereotype that people get which is what I want my artist to be identified with, the way that she will be standing out from the crowd is the way she presents herself with her look/identity (confidence).
They also knew the main idea as a whole, the audience could tell exactly what my idea of the music video is going to be and they knew the story behind it, which is the most important thing that I wanted to focus on and make sure that the audience knew my plan for the music video so then it would be easier for when they are following through the presentation.
This helps both me and the audience by them being able to get any fresh ideas from my presentation for their idea and also for my to get advice on how to grow my ideas.

There are areas of improvement that the audience gave to me which I think is very important as it can help me with changing any of the ideas that I have.
The audience gave me improvements where they were concerned about the permission of the locations that I have chosen (London and Lakeside).
One of my locations is the London Eye or near Southbank this is because I think that it is a beautiful scene to film for a relationship music video because of the atmosphere that is around the area (amazing views of London). The audience was concerned about that in London you will need permission to film if you are going to be using a tripod because it's for health and safety reasons about setting up with the public and they wouldn't appreciate if anyone gets injured.
Because I want my music video to look smooth, I will then need to use a tripod so I am going to have to send a email to the council and ask for permission to film using a tripod in the locations that I have chosen to film, if I happen to get a rejection from the council then I will have to either film without a tripod or change my location.
If I decide to change my location then I will film in the shopping centre in Lakeside or Ilford, this could still work well if done at the correct time, which is when rush hour is over.

The only problem that I will have when filming in a shopping centre is that some places like Lakeside I will need to get permission to film and aslo the public getting involved in the video will be a massive problem because I do not mind having the public walking behind the acting because it will make it seen more realistic, but I do not want them messing it up and interferring.

From the feedback that I got from my audience I will have a look at the permission again for the location that I want to use 'London eye or near the Thames' if there happens to be a problem and I can not get permission then I will have to change my idea and choose a different location that will be appropiate for the music video idea, so I will go with my plan B that I have of using the shopping centre.
I have and will still be taking in all the feedback that I have gotten from the audience because I think it is vital for when creating a strong music video and I will still be thinking of any improvements that may need to be changed.
